CAMP'S GREATEST NEED IN 2025...
On July 14, 2024, the night before our own Summer Campers arrived, a fire broke out inside the Maintenance Shop and burned it down to the ground, along with operational supplies and necessary maintenance equipment. We are SO thankful nobody was hurt, and that the Hoodland Fire Department was able to contain the blaze, but this devastating event has made our service goals extra difficult until a replacement can be built.

WHAT IT TAKES TO REBUILD A MAINTENANCE SHOP
Our community has already shown their support by being available after the disaster, donating tools, and helping us gather some basic necessities, but here’s what we will need in order to break ground this spring:

TOTAL ESTIMATED COST: $860,000
This cost includes prep of site/location, construction of new building, excavation for new access road, and replacement of contents lost in fire.

FUNDS RECEIVED TO DATE: $323,000
From insurance claims, donations & sale of lumber (from fire-effected area)

Insurance: although Camp property is insured, our carrier is covering less than half of the cost to rebuild & replace contents after this fire.

REMAINING AMOUNT NEEDED: $536,112
